About the Hampton Half Marathon
The Hampton Half Marathon & 5K is a long-standing tradition in the New Hampshire seacoast community. The race was first held in 1987 and has been going strong ever since!
The race was originally started by a group of local runners who wanted to create a fun and challenging event for people of all abilities. The course was designed to showcase the beauty of the Hampton Beach area, and it quickly became a popular race for both locals and visitors alike.
In the early years, the Hampton Half Marathon & 5K was a small event with just a few hundred participants. Today, the half marathon typically attracts over 1,000 runners, and the 5K attracts over 300 runners.
The Hampton Half Marathon & 5K is a flat and fast course, making it a great choice for runners of all levels. The course starts and finishes in Hampton Beach and takes runners along the oceanfront, through the Hampton State Park, and past the beautiful mansions of Hampton Falls.
The race is also a great way to support a good cause. Proceeds from the race benefit the KEY Collective, which is a local non-profit that provides kids from low income families access to sports and other youth activities for free or at a reduced cost with no stigma attached.
The Hampton Half Marathon & 5K is a great way to challenge yourself, enjoy the outdoors, and support a good cause. If you are looking for a great race to run in New Hampshire, the Hampton Half Marathon & 5K is a great option.
